Enabling Sustainable Livelihoods Through Improved Natural Resource management and Economic Diversification in the Western Rural District and the Southern Province is a major intervention area of Aid Train Sierra Leone. Increased national and local capacities for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Through training, capacity building, and development programs, we advocate for the empowerment of women and youth throughout rural communities to ensure sustainable livelihoods.
Water and Sanitation
Aid Train Sierra Leone implement through risk-based management approaches for achieving safe and climate-resilient water and sanitation services; promoting environmental surveillance of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‑CoV‑2) and other disease agents of concern in wastewater; we also promote the establishment of adequate water quality and water-related disease surveillance systems; encouraging hand hygiene in rural communities.

HUNGER
Hunger affects a child’s ability to learn, grow, and thrive. Through school feeding initiatives, nutritional education, and community support, we help ensure every child has the nourishment they need to reach their full potential.

DISEASES
Preventable diseases continue to threaten the health and future of underserved communities. We raise awareness, promote hygiene and health education, and partner with local initiatives to ensure children and families can live healthy, empowered lives.

POVERTY
Limits access to education, healthcare, and opportunity. Many women and children are held back by circumstances beyond their control. We work to break this cycle by providing quality education, skill-building, and leadership programs that create pathways out of poverty.
